Rinse and wash rice
Add washed rice, dashi broth, sake, light soy sauce, and sesame oil to clay pot/donabe, and soak the rice for 20 minutes
Layer the chicken, carrots, ginger, and mushrooms on top of the rice
Heat on medium-high heat for 15 minutes, covered
Keep lid covered when time is up and steam for another 30 minutes
Open the lid and add edamame and mix the ingredients thoroughly
